Protest condemning torture to Vokkaliga leaders in Karnataka

Mysuru, July 10:- The Confederation of Vokkaliga Associations staged a protest on Wednesday, condemning the torture to the Vokkaliga leaders.

The protesters, who had gathered in front of Zilla Panchayat office here, said Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has been tortured since the day he took over the mantle. They said that the people of Karnataka have not given in writing that they don’t need Kumaraswamy as the chief minister. Protesters alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is purchasing MLAs by paying money. They wanted to know where the BJP leaders got the money from. They alleged that whenever Vokkaliga leaders come to power they are not allowed to govern. They warned of intense protest in the coming days if the torture continues.

Satish Gowda, Kantharaj, Basavaraj, Girish, Prasanna Kumar and others were present. (MR/KS)
