Protest demanding ban on Chinese products

Mysuru, June 19:- Karnataka Senapade members staged a protest in front of the deputy commissioner’s (DC) office here on Friday, condemning the People’s Liberation Army of China attacking Indian Army at Ladakh on June 15.

The protesters beat the photo of Chinese President Xi Jinping with slippers and alleged China is using the money earned by India against India. They urged the public to voluntarily boycott Chinese products and use Indian products. They also requested public to boycott cell phones, toys and other products manufactured in China.

They asked the government to give subsidy to youths to start small and home industries to manufacture alternative products to that of Chinese. They submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner.

District president of Karnataka Senapade Tejesh Lokesh Gowda, Dr Shantharaje Urs, Vijayendra, Prajeesh, Vikram Iyengar, Prabhushankar, MB Raviteja, Akshay and others were present. (MR/KS)
