Protest demanding cancellation of education trust’s licence

Mysuru, May 2:- MPEd students of the University of Mysore have urged the authorities to cancel the licence of Sri Shambhulingeshwara Education Trust for conducting MPEd course by violating the rules of UoM.

The students staged a protest in front of Crawford Hall of UoM and alleged that the institution has given seats to those who are above the eligible age. They said that the institution is happy as the University Grants Commission (UGC) has cancelled the MPEd summer camp and are organising classes on holidays and weekends. Protesters also alleged that they are conducting the course like a correspondence course.

They alleged that violation of all these rules will affect thousands of students who have joined various universities for regular classes. They urged UoM to cancel the licence of the institution immediately. (MR/KS).
