Protest demanding ouster of Addanda Cariappa as Rangayana director

Mysuru, February 20:- Progressive organisation members staged a protest at the Rangayana premises on Wednesday, demanding the sacking of the director of Rangayana, Addanda C Cariappa.

More than 15 members including KS Shivaram, president of Karnataka Rajya Hindulida Vargagala Jagruta Vedike, Guruprasad Keregodu and Gopala Krishna of Nele Hinnele organisation participated in the protest held for 20 minutes.

The protesters alleged that Cariappa spoke lightly about the family of the former director of Rangayana H Janardhan. They said that Cariappa had a good opinion about Tipu Sultan at one time and has now changed his opinion for power. They said that they would intensify the protests and asked Cariappa to apologise for his statement.

They alleged that the appointment of Cariappa as the director of Rangayana has been a clear violation of rules and demanded his immediate ouster.

Gururaj, Deepak, Lakshmi Narayan, Gopala Krishna, Jagannath and others were present. (MR/KS)
