UoM pourakarmikas’ protest enters 3rd day

Mysuru, September 6:- Three days into their protest here on Thursday, pourakarmikas of the University of Mysore are continuing to press home some of their demands. The makeshift tent that has been put at the premises of UoM continues to be a beehive of activities.

Firm in their demands, the protesters,  who cook their food at the tent, want the authorities to intervene and solve some of their demands which have been long-pending.

They want their legitimate Provident Fund (PF) that has been pending for 14 years to be paid immediately.  Another important demand is regularisation of some of the employees who have put in more than 14 years service at the UoM. (MR/KS).
