Sidelined teachers stage protest in Mysuru

Mysuru, August 20:- “There are 11 educational institutions functioning under the administration of T S Subbanna Sarvajanika Vidyasamsthe at Vidyaranyapuram in the city. More than 20 teachers have been working full time at the school since 12 years. Now the government has given permission to appoint 14 teachers for the schools. Interview is being held for the posts till tomorrow. The teachers who have been working are not given an opportunity to attend the interview. We need justice,” said the saddened teachers of the institution.

They staged a protest in front of the office of the institution at Vidyaranyapuram. They alleged that the school administration has brought them on the path of suicide by not giving them an opportunity to attend the interview. They said that C Basavegowda, Prof S Guruswamy and S Shashibimba would be responsible if the teachers take any extreme steps. (MR/KS).
