Protest rally held in Mysuru against Hathras incident

Mysuru, October 3:- Condemning the rape and murder of a Dalit woman at Hathras in Uttar Pradesh, Dalit organisations organised a silent rally from Gandhi Square to Sri Rangacharlu Memorial Town Hall here on Saturday (October 3).

Speaking on the occasion, Dalit leaders said, “The heinous act is inhuman and it is a blot on our society. Parents and relatives of the victim were not allowed to take a final glimpse of her body. Performing her final rites in a hurry is giving room for suspicion. The UP government needs to take action against officials and police.”

They said, “The attacks on Dalits, rapes and murders have become the order of the day in Uttar Pradesh. Yogi Adityanath’s administration has failed to maintain law and order in the state. President Ram Nath Kovid should dismiss the government immediately.” (MR/KS)
