Protest against direct appointment of D group employees

Mysuru, May 27:- Tender basis employees of state government hostels staged protest against direct appointment of D group employees in front of the DC office.

Protesters said that the decision of the state government to fill the vacant 5000 D group employees by direct appointment has put the jobs of cooks, cooking assistants, security guards, peon and other workers working over the years for minimum wage. They urged the government to make the tender based employees within the age of 60 permanent.

District convener Jagadish Surya, Shashivardhan and others were present.
