Protests in front of village panchayat offices from June 27: Badagalapura Nagendra

Mysuru, June 25:- “Third stage of protests against the Land Reforms Act amendment will be held in front of all village panchayat offices,” said the president of Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha and Hasiru Sene, Badagalapura Nagendra.

He was speaking at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club here on Thursday.

“The protests will be held in front of village panchayat offices from June 27 to 30 to oppose Land Reforms Act amendment, APMC Act amendment and privatisation electricity DISComs. This will be held in association with Akhila Bharata Raitha Sangharsha Samiti,” he added.

“We have already sent a warning letter to the state government by burning the copy of Land Reforms Act amendment in front of deputy commissioner’s (DC) offices in the state. We have met 117 MLAs till on Wednesday and this will continue,” he said.

“Both state and central governments are introducing anti-people policies when it was not needed. This will destroy the lives of labourers, Dalits and farmers. We are preparing for intense protests against this in the coming days. A seminar will be held regarding the Land Reforms Act amendment, APMC Act amendment at Kyathanahalli Ground on June 27,” he said.
