Provide direct entry to the devotees climbing up the steps

Mysuru, May 31:- Sir M Vishweshwaraiah drainage workers’ association urged for the direct entry to the Chamundeshwari temple atop the Chamundi hills for the devotees who come up climbing the steps.

“During the Ashada fridays, devotees in large number come up the hills by climbing the 1101 steps to offer prayers. They will be tired while climbing up the steps and it is difficult for them to stand in large queue to enter the temple. We will also request the Chief Minister to allow direct entry for the devotees who come up the steps,” said the treasurer of the organisation in a press meet.

The organisation will also clean up the steps on June 28.

President of the association S Chandru, chief secretary Suresh Kumar, Chandregowda, Ravi Kumar, Ejaz Pasha and others were present in the press meet.
