PSIs exam scam: Congress leader Priyank Kharge hits out at state govt

Prime News, Karnataka, Corruption, Jobs, Police, Mysuru, May 2:- Congress MLA Priyank Kharge on Monday (May 2) condemned the state BJP government’s investigation into the Police Sub-Inspectors’ examination malpractice case.

Responding to the media in Mysuru, Kharge said, “Home Minister Araga Jnanendra seems to be careless about the whole issue. He had said there was no illegal activity. The government has no control over the department and there has been an illegal take on the PSI selection process. The investigation is limited to only Kalaburgi and only 19 people have been arrested. The exam was written by 57,000 candidates. Everyone suspects that about 300 people have come here illegally. Allegedly about 300 people are involved in this illegal case. Only one test centre is under investigation, but there are several testing centres in the State. I have no doubt that the government has issued a notification in a hurry to close the case in Kalaburgi and not let it reach Bengaluru. Who was working for whom, what was his share? Everything must be investigated.”
