PU Board suspends Maharaja’s Bifurcated PU College Principal

 Nazarbad Police on Wednesday registered a complaint against Maharaja’s Bifurcated PU College Principal Chandrashekar who was under suspension on charges of sexual harassment of a woman subordinate and misappropriation of funds.

The Under Secretary to Government (PU Education Department) V Ramakrishnaiah has issued an order on March 1, suspending Chandrashekar. As the department has recommended filing a Police complaint, DDPU K M Puttu had filed a complaint at Nazarbad Police station. Chandrashekar was suspended for a period of 3 months after a departmental enquiry, during which it was revealed that he was sexually harassing a woman subordinate and had illegally collected Rs 4 lakh from students.


A female first-grade assistant of the college had lodged a sexual harassment complaint against Chandrashekar. Following the complaint, the PU Education Department had constituted a committee to probe the charges.
