Mysuru, August 6:- : Pourakarmikas and supporters of former Congress MLA M K Somashekar on Thursday offered prayers at 101 Ganapathy Temple at Agrahara here for the well-being of former chief minister and senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah who has been hospitalised after testing positive for coronavirus. They broke 101 coconuts on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, they said, “Siddaramaiah is one of the veteran leaders the country has seen. He has achieved so much as our leader. He is undergoing treatment at Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru. We have prayed to Lord Ganesha to help Siddaramaiah to recover fast.”
Congress leaders Nagaratna and Manjunath offered special puja to the presiding deity. Former councillor Shivanna, Congress youth leader Palani and pourakarmika leaders were present. (MR/KS)
