PV Sindhu meets Andhra Governor, CM

Prime News, National Sport, Badminton, Vijayawada/Amaravati, September 13:- Ace badminton player PV Sindhu met Andhra Pradesh  Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan at Raj Bhavan in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh today.

Sindhu had on August 25, became the first Indian to win a World Championships gold medal by defeating Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara in the final of the tournament held in Basel, Switzerland.

PV Sindhu also met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy at the AP State Secretariat in Amaravati. Jagan Mohan Reddy lauded Sindhu for winning the World Championship in badminton in a dominating performance in Basel.

The world champion was accompanied by her parents, AP Youth Affairs Minister M Srinivas Rao and several officials from Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh.

PV Sindhu would be felicitated by the Andhra Pradesh government on her historic achievement in Vijayawada today. (Inputs: Agencies, NGB)
