Qatar blockade: Special flights from India to evacuate its citizens

Prime News, International, New Delhi, June 22:-Indian aviation ministry officials declared that special flights will be arranged to bring back willing Indian citizens from blockade hit Qatar.

Using its fleet of Boeing 737 Air India Express will operate between Kerala and Doha from June 25 to July 8, Jet Airways from Mumbai to Doha between June 22 and 23 by Boeing 737.

Qatar is in turmoil after seven Gulf countries severed all diplomatic and trade relation, accusing its support to terrorist who is targeting other gulf countries, causing hardship to Qatar citizens and expats alike.

Boycotting countries also stopped flight operations to and fro from Qatar stranding scores of passengers at airports heading to various destinations.

The major economic partners Saudi Arabia and UAE cut off ties and Saudi closed its borders effectively chocking the essential supplies to Qatar. There are fears that essentials will run out very soon.
