Dr Prabha Adhikari, professor of medicine, Yenepoya University and Chairman of scientific committee, spoke on tribal healthcare services at the Indian Social Science Congress held at Senate Bhavan, University of Mysore, on Friday.
She spoke about how hospitals can take it as a challenge in their endeavour to reach the unreached. “Access to quality healthcare is the right of every individual, whether he is rich or poor. It is the responsibility of the government, NGOs and hospitals to collectively work in this direction,” she said.
Dr Prabhu Kumar Raju spoke on the role of bio energy as a preventive tool. Dr Bhargavi spoke on the role of media in creating awareness to the socially deprived in various schemes of the government.
