Rahul Gandhi arriving in Mysuru today evening

Mysuru, March 23:- Congress national president Rahul Gandhi will be arriving in the city this evening on a two-day visit.

He will arrive from New Delhi in a special flight at 7.30 pm at Mandakalli Airport and stay overnight at the Government Guest House in Nazarbad.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Dr G Parameshwar and senior Congress leaders will welcome the Congress president at the airport.

Rahul Gandhi will visit Chamundeshwari Temple to seek the blessings of Goddess Chamundeshwari atop Chamundi Hill on Saturday at 8.30 am.

He will take part in a discussion with the students of Maharani Science College at 10:30 am and later proceed to Chamarajanagar by a chopper. He will address public rallies at Kollegal and Hanur and hold a road show. Rahul will return to Mysuru and stay at Government Guest House.

Rahul Gandhi will also hold a meeting with block Congress leaders at the Government Guest House on March 25. He will be attending open conventions at taluk headquarters in Mandya district.

In the evening, he will address a Congress rally at Maharaja College Grounds here and head back to New Delhi.

Meanwhile, Special Protection Group (SPG) team inspected several places in Mysuru ahead of his visit, here on Thursday.

They inspected Chamundi Hills, Maharaja College Grounds and a few other places. –(MR, NGB/KS)
