Mysuru, May 31: “The railway under-bridge project sanctioned in the central budget will be undertaken at the railway crossing near Kukkarahalli Lake,” said MP Pratap Simha, here on Tuesday.
Addressing officials of five government departments, the Lok Sabha member said, “The project which has been launched in April, will be completed in the next 18 months.
The vehicular traffic is increasing at the five railway level crossings in and around the city day-by-day. Rs 125.42 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of under-bridge for Mysuru division,” he added.
“KRS Road is being developed on par with Devaraja Urs Road. The district hospital, trauma care centre, PKTB Hospital, Government Naturopathy and Yoga College and hospital, Ayurveda PG centre and ESI Hospitals are on this road. Thousands of commuters travel through this road. An over-bridge will be constructed from Outer Ring Road junction of KRS Road to JSS Institution. Five water supply pipelines go through this route and Rs 8 crore will be spent to alter them,” Simha said.
The officials of various departments were present at the meeting.
