Rain havoc: CM seeks more info

Mysuru, September 30:- “I have asked for information from the Deputy Commissioners of all the districts that have received excessive rains,” said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah here on Friday.

He was speaking to the media at Mandakalli airport.

“I have asked the Deputy Commissioners to provide the information regarding excess rains and the prevailing situation. After receiving the report, the state government will write a letter to the central government for compensation. The state has no scarcity of sowing seeds. We will take action on water leaking from palace walls. We have to protect the palace,” the Chief Minister said said.

“Shobha Karandlaje says the BJP will come back to power in 2018. They are all living in a world of illusion. We have done survey for solar energy in Pavagada. Similar plant will be established in Gadag as well,” he added.

He was accompanied by Congress leaders. (MR/KS).
