Rain lashes ‘heritage city’ Mysuru for second consecutive day

Mysuru, October 9:- Mysureans seem to be cursing the unseasonal rains that have been lashing the city in the
last two days. The heavy rain has thrown the normal life out of gear. Many of the low-lying areas in the city have been inundated while some of the arterial roads are water-logged.
The situation on Wednesday and Thursday (Oct 7, 8) was no different as people had a tough time to make
their way home.

On the other hand, the heritage city seems to be enjoying the Dasara festival fever what with some of important junctions – Chamaraja Circle and Ayuveda Circle – lit brightly to herald the arrival of ‘Nada Habba.’ The colourfully illuminated city is a sight to behold and some Mysureans, despite the rain, seem to be enjoying the evenings.
