KRRS, Hasiru Sene to up pressure to seek waiver of farmers’ loans

Mysuru, May 23:- The Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha and Hasiru Sene will lay siege to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s residence in Bengaluru on Thursday, seeking total waiver of farmers’ loans.

“The central and state governments are neglecting the working class. The organisations have decided to bring it to the notice of the public. We request farmers from all the districts to attend the protest at Gandhi statue, Bengaluru on May 25,” said the chief secretary of the organisation, Badagalapura Nagendra.

“Farmers have been protesting since May 16. But the government is not bothered about their problems. The governments are unable take back the loans and tax from corporate sectors, but they forcefully take loans from poor farmers. In between the central and state governments, poor farmers are suffering. Farmers will stage protest in front of the residences MLAs on June 2 or 3,” he added.

District president of the organisation, Hosuru Kumar, chief secretary Hosakote Basavaraju, taluk president Marankaiah, Naganahalli Vijendra, Mandakalli Mahesh were present at the press meet. -(MR/LG).
