Raju murder: Pro-Hindu organisations threaten state-wide protest

Even after 100 days, police are clueless about my son’s murder. If the government can’t arrest the culprits involved, let the authorities issue a media statement that they cannot catch the accused, said Chandramma, mother of slain BJP leader Raju, who was found brutally murdered in Udayagiri on March 13.

Speaking during a dharna in front of Basavaeshara statue in city organised in association with various Pro-Hindu organisations on Wednesday, she said “The government failed to arrest the culprits who murdered my son. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who claims to be a champion of public causes, has failed to provide us justice even after 102 days. The police have also failed to get a lead in the case. They are able to arrest the accused in other cases, but they have failed to arrest a single accused or get lead about my son’s murder. It seems something is fishy,” she said.

Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha, said that the police and the government were trying to close the case. “If police fail to arrest the culprits at the earliest, we will hold state-wide protests in days to come,” he warned.

Mysuru district BJP president M Shivanna, former minister Ramadas and MLC Vijayashankar were present. More than 500 people participated in the dharna.
