Prime News, National, Karnataka, Religion, Mysuru, January 15:- Kannada actor Abhishek on Friday (January 15) inaugurated an initiative for fund collection for the construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.
Talking to a huge gathering near Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple at the north gate of Mysuru Palace in the city, Abhishek said he was happy to be part of the fund collection. “It is a small contribution from my side and I am happy to set the ball in motion.”
Reacting to theatre owners unwilling to start their theatres despite getting permission, he said, “Our seniors are talking to them and hopefully, we will find a solution soon.” On problems relating to the release of movies, Abhishek opined film producers have all the rights to decide on the release date.
On Kannada actor Darshan Tugudeep’s opinion that theatres can still operate with 25% audience, Abhishek said no actor wants producers to incur losses. If producers make money, it is good for us. Darshan must have given it a thought before making a comment.”
BHaratiya Janata Party city president T S Srivatsa, M Venkatram, Raman Rao Bapat, Vasudev Bhat, H G Giridhar Vani, Pratap and others were present on the occasion. (MR/KS)
