Mysuru celebrated the Rama Navami — birthday of Lord Rama with great religious fervour on Wednesday.
Special prayers and offerings were given at various temples across the city. Thousands of devotees visited Rama and Anjaneya temples in the city and many observed fast. Social workers including auto drivers, cab drivers and others distributed ‘Panaka’ and ‘Majjige’ to commemorate the Rama Navami.
Sriramulu offers prayer
Former minister Sri Ramulu on Wednesday visited the Kote Anjaneya swamy temple premises and offered special puja. Later speaking to media persons, he said, “The by-election to Nanjangud and Gundlupet assemble constituencies is a fight between Dharma and Adharma. It is a known fact that Dharma always wins,” hinting that the BJP will easily win the elections.
Later commenting on Siddaramaiah, he said, “I believed that Siddaramaiah is like the great king, ‘Sathya Harishchandra’ but after he assumed charge as Chief Minister and after seeing his administration work from past four years, I came to know that how a person can be so corrupt.”
“Siddaramaiah has failed to address the concerns of mining workers and has also failed in providing them the proper rehabilitation,” he added.
