MLA Ramadass for concrete steps to avoid drinking water scarcity in KR constituency

Mysuru, June 19:- MLA SA Ramadass has decided to take concrete steps to avoid drinking water scarcity in Krishnaraja constituency in the coming days.

The MLA visited drinking water units along with corporators and officials on Tuesday. He is planning for a permanent solution to avoid water woes. If plans go accordingly, there could be a proper plan in place over the next 15 years. He inspected Bidaragudu Kabini water point, Hombalu Pumping Station, Udburu and Kuvempunagar drinking water units.

Around 82 MLD water is drawn from Bidaragudu jack well point, out of which only 60 MLD water gets pumped and the remaining gets released to the river. The MLA instructed the officials to make good use of the water and construct additional filter at a cost of Rs 7 crore.

He took a swipe at CESCom officials on the improper supply of electricity at the water units and warned of strict action if it continues. (MR/KS)
