MLA Ramadass leads protest seeking development of KR Hospital

Mysuru, March 19:- Krishnaraja Constituency MLA S A Ramadass led a protest on Tuesday, demanding immediate development of K R Hospital and proper implementation of Ayushman Bharat Scheme in all government hospitals.

The MLA visited the hospital and inspected the facilities available. Ramadass and Chamaraja Constituency MLA L Nagendra had held a joint press meet in the city on Monday and made several allegations against the state government.

The MLA met outpatients and listened to their problems. He led a protest in front of the hospital and said demand for Rs 350 crore was made to the government for the development of the hospital and said the state government has released only Rs 35 crore. He said it would nowhere be enough for the development of the hospital and said the hospital lacks staff and facilities. He asked why there are problems to implement Ayushman Bharat Yojana which faced no problem in other states.

MLA Nagendra and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers participated in the protest. (MR/KS)
