Ranga Rao Memorial School for Disabled celebrates Republic Day

Mysuru, January 26:- Ranga Rao Memorial School for Disabled by the NR Foundation, the philanthropic arm of NR Group, celebrated the 69th Republic Day at RMSD School premises here on Friday.

The deputy general manager (DGM) of BSNL Mysuru R Rangaswamy, graced the occasion as a chief guest. R N Murthy and R Guru, chairman, NR Group, were also present at the event.

R Guru said “Today, seeing the students of RMSD School performing with so much of enthusiasm and zeal, I feel extremely proud. The extra-curricular activities are as important for a person as academics. Hence, we should ensure that students are exposed to such initiatives. We encourage them to adopt a healthier lifestyle as it strengthens their life skills and boosts their confidence to lead a normal life.”

Cultural programmes were presented by the students. The students performed drills and march-past. The children also rendered national songs and instilled a sense of pride and patriotism in the minds of the public.

R Rangaswamy said, “I am happy to be celebrating Republic Day with the students of RMSD. The energy and spirit of patriotism among the students is noteworthy.”–(KK)
