Kavyashree, a rank holder of Vidyavardhaka First Grade College (VVFGC) was felicitated and the Department news letter `VVPGC-Image’ was released at the valedictory function of PG Students’ Forum which was held on Monday.
Satyendra 0 Devarkonde, Plant Head, Rane Madras Pvt Ltd., Mysuru, the chief guest, in his valedictory address, stressed that the primary key requirement is attitude. He opined that change is dynamic and we should embrace it .
Devarkonde urged the students to be extrovert and keep good communication as it is the key tool for success.
He further added that “equally important is the circle of influence which also imbibes conviction knowledge and result.”
The only asset which doesn’t wither away and becomes better when used more is our brain, he said and called upon the students to develop the attitude ‘you can do it and you will do it’ and the element of passion will take the person on a journey of achievement.
P Vishwanath, secretary, W Sangha, Mysuru, the guest of honour, highlighted that persistence is the ingredient that is required for success in any field.
S N Lakshminarayana, treasurer of W Sangha, said that there are six pillars of education which is interconnected – spirituality, science, service, culture, character and concentration. He advised the students to develop more confidence.
Dr N Shankar, principal, WFGC, congratulated the rank holder Kavyashree, winner of two gold medals and a cash prize, who had become a role model for other students. Gundappa Gowda, president, W Sangha, who delivered the presidential, stressed on the importance of the concepts `loyalty and honesty’ in a student’s life. Dr S Mari Gowda, professor and head, Department of Studies in Commerce, also spoke on the occasion.
