Mysuru, January 21:- “As per the directions of National Legal Services Authority and State Legal Services Authority, Rashtriya Lok Adalat will be held on February 8. The Lok Adalat aims at solving criminal cases, civil cases, motor vehicle accident cases, family disputes, atrocity prevention act cases, and other cases which could be solved outside court,” said District Principal and Sessions Court Judge S K Vantigodi at a press meet held at the premises of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) here on Tuesday.
“If solvable cases can be dealt with outside the court, it is welcome. People who need legal services can come to legal services authority at all districts and taluks,” he said.
“Lok Adalat helps you to get the cases solved quickly. The public can directly participate in it or with the help of advocates. The cases can be solved in harmony between both the parties. Complainants can agree to compromise if the advice given to them satisfies them. It is a golden opportunity to solve the cases quickly at low expenses,” he added.
Senior Civil Judge and DLSA member-secretary BP Devamane, Mysuru Bar Association president Anand Kumar, secretary Shivanna and others were present. (MR/KS)
