Ration kits distributed to Anganwadi workers

Mysuru, June 6:- District in-charge Minister S T Somashekar on Friday (June 5) inaugurated the initiative to distribute ration kits to 2,860 Anganwadi workers of the district. He symbolically distributed ration kits to 125 Anganwadi workers at Kalamandir in the city.

MLA L Nagendra thanked the district minister for taking the initiative to distribute ration kits.

“The minister has understood the situation arising out of coronavirus pandemic. He collected money from the people of his constituency and donated Rs 2.85 crore to Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens (Mysuru Zoo). He will be a role model for all,” said the MLA.

Anganwadi worker Bhagya said that they worked hard during the Covid-19 lockdown and thanked the administration for helping them.

Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar, MCC Commissioner Gurudutta Hegde, Zilla Panchayat CEO Prashanth Kumar Mishra, Green Mysuru president Rajeev, District BJP president Mahendra and others were present. (MR/GK)
