Ration kits distributed to needy journalists in Mysuru

Mysuru, June 15:- Social worker Sagar distributed ration kits to needy journalists at Mysuru District Journalists’ Association (MDJA) premises here on Tuesday (June 15).

After distributing kits to four journalists symbolically, MDJA president S T Ravikumar said, “The world has been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic. Many have lost their lives in the fight against the pandemic and many have also been rendered jobless and penniless. Despite all the hardships, journalists have been doing their jobs sincerely.”

Ravikumar said, “Many journalists are struggling due to loss of pay. I spoke to the District In-charge Minister S T Somashekar and he readily agreed to do the needful. In his absence, we are distributing the ration kits to the journalists.”

MDJA general secretary M Subramanya, city vice-president M S Basavanna, city secretary P Rangaswamy and others were present. (MR/KS)
