Lockdown: Ration kits provided to LPG suppliers

Mysuru, May 4:- Mysuru City Backward Communities’ Association distributed ration kits to LPG cylinder suppliers at Vidyaranyapuram here on Monday. The LPG suppliers were provided with ration kits and Nandini peda.

“2,480 youths are delivering LPG to homes in Mysuru city. They have worked efficiently to supply LPG to all. Considering the importance of uninterrupted gas supply, these boys have been working tirelessly.  846 delivery boys are working in Kanakagiri, Gundu Rao Nagar, Ashokapuram, Bandikeri, Tonachikoppal and Jayanagar areas,” said Bharatiya Janata Party city president TS Srivatsa.

“Gas delivery boys have supplied LPG cylinders to public risking their lives for 43 days. They worked as doctors and police personnel amid the nationwide lockdown to contain spread of coronavirus,” said Jogi Manju.

Former city president Shivakumar, Somasundar, Pradeep Kumar, Ramesh Kurubaralli, Jayashankar, Sharath, Raju and others were present. (MR/KS)
