Mysuru, December 14:- “The need for everyone to read the Constitution of India is very much essential these days than ever before,” said Justice Nagamohan Das.
“To understand the Constitution, we have to first understand India. If we don’t study India, we won’t be able to know the importance and holiness of the Constitution. Bhagavad Gita is a holy book for Hindus, the Quran for Muslims and the Bible for Christians. But for all the Indians, the Constitution is a holy book,” he added.
“People of different religions and sects have been living in India for over 5,000 years. We can see a lot of diversity here. But the Constitution of India has enabled all of them to live respectfully,” he said.
“Even after 68 years of the implementation of the Indian Constitution, it has not been read properly. Students and officials lack knowledge about the Constitution,” he opined.
