Recoveries outnumber new Covid-19 cases in Mysuru; tally reaches 53,151

Mysuru, January 23:- In line with the national trend, Mysuru district on Friday (January 22) registered more recoveries than new Covid-19 cases as it saw 41 new discharges and 19 new coronavirus infections, taking the tally of recoveries to 51,924 and cumulative positive cases to 53,151, according to a bulletin from the Health and Family Welfare Department.

Out of 53,151 positive cases reported in the district so far, 205 are active and isolated at various designated covid centres and hospitals. The district for the sixth consecutive day has reported no fatality and the death toll linked to coronavirus infections stands at 1022 as of Friday.

A total of 7,75,559 samples being tested across the district so far, 5969 samples tested on Friday alone that includes Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and RT-PCR tests.

Haveri, Koppal and Raichur reported nil cases, while, 21 district has reported new coronavirus cases in single digit, 5 distrricts in double digit number and Bengaluru Urban in triple digit numbers.

Of the three deaths recorded on Friday in the state, Benglauru Urban has two and Dakshina Kannada one.
