Renowned actor Om Puri to inaugurate ‘Bahuroopi’

Rangayana on Wednesday released the schedule and lists of the posters, play lists and name of repertoires that are scheduled to be played at ‘Bahuroopi’ International Theatre Festival scheduled from January 13 to January 18 at Rangayana Mysuru.

Addressing the media persons at Bhoomigeetha, Nirmala Matapathi, Deputy Director, Kannada and Culture Department said, “Renowned theatre and film personality Om Puri will inaugurate the programme. Around 18 plays from several Indian languages, including four foreign repertoires are participating in the festival”.

“Adding to this mega event, there will be the programme of ‘theatre music’ from various groups during the festival. Renowned theatre artist B Jayashri will play the theatre music during the inauguration of the theatre festival.”

“Also, the ‘Namma Prajaprabhutva mattu Rangabhoomi’, a workshop will be organised on January 14 and 15 at newly built theatre,” she added.
