Republic Day held at Nataraja Prathishtana

Mysuru, January 28:- Sri Nataraja Prathishtana organised 70th Republic Day celebrations on Saturday.

“January 26 is the day the Constitution of India came into existence.  We celebrate the day with pride. The Constitution has laid the foundation for India to become a great country. The Constitution of India is the best in the world. The Constitution has given us better opportunities,” said retired professor of Political Science, University of Mysore Prof K P Paramashivaiah.

“Schemes should be introduced for the welfare of everyone. Every Indian has to read the Constitution of India. It helps one to have wider thinking ability. The Constitution of India was implemented on January 26, 1950. We should follow the ideal of unity in diversity as Indians. Republic Day should be spent on the welfare of the nation and not for fun and enjoyment,” he added.

Members of all the institutions of Sri Nataraja Prathishtana, teaching and non-teaching staff, students and others were present. (MR/SH)
