Mysuru, January 12:- “Hunger and poverty teaches everything in life. They will also inspire to achieve in life,” said young scientist ‘Drone’ N M Pratap.
He was speaking after being felicitated by Kadamba Rangavedike at Mysuru Press Club on Saturday.
“Research centres should not become mere manufacturing units. Education system in India needs to be improved at all levels. Educationists and government must think about it,” he opined.
He explained about his project, of preparing a drone that would be very helpful for the farmers. He said that he was inspired by former President of India late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.
“It is very difficult to do research without proper guidance. Skilled and interested students are interested in reasearch work may join me,” he added.
Prof Kalegowda Nagavara felicitated the young scientist and lauded his efforts.
President of Kadamba Rangavedike Rajashekhar Kadamba, president of Rotary Mysuru North M K Nanjaiah, former president of district KaSaPa Maddikere Gopal, Chandrashekhar and others were present. (KMR, NGB)
