The residents of Siddhartha Nagar and neighboring areas of survey number 4 of Kurubarahalli lodged a complaint against three government officials at Nazarbad police station on Tuesday.
The residents blamed officials for not addressing their problems relating to property documents for the past four years. The complaints were lodged against Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) Commissioner, undersecretary to the Urban Development Department and Revenue Secretary.
Convener of Survey no 4 hitharakshana samithi, B P Manunath took out a huge rally along with residents from MM Hills Road to the Nazarbad police station and lodged a complaint against the officials. The residents said that the stalling of government action on the land records of Kurbarahalli survey no 4 has caused great difficulty to the families and property owners. “This is happening due to the inaction of the officials and their lack of knowledge.”
“The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) is neither transferring khatas nor sanctioning plans to build houses. The MCC is not issuing NoC for mortgaging the properties, which has caused serious difficulty to the owners,” he added.
Over 25,000 people had purchased the lands from MUDA, but still they are yet to get the documents.
Deputy Mayor Rathna Lakshman, former deputy mayor Mahadevamma, NR Block BJP president Anand, S Murali and others were present.
