Inter Demonstration Schools meet (INDEM)-2016 to be hosted from December 10 to 13 in the city.
Addressing a press meet here in the city on Monday, Principal of Regional Institute of Education, Prof D G Rao said: “The 21st Inter Demonstration Schools meet organised with an objective to exchange, experience and appreciate the different cultural and social patters will be hosted at the Regional institute of Education premises. With an intention to develop a sense of national and emotional integration indispensable for the welfare of the country, the INDEM will be a perfect platform which realises the importance of living together and working together for a common cause. The unique feature of the INDEM is that, the students of all four demonstration schools (Bhopal, Ajmer, Mysuru and Bhubaneshwar) will be grouped in different groups and are named as Aravalli, Mahendragiri, Sahyadri and Satpura which represent the four mountain ranges of the schools.”
“At INDEM, students get the opportunity to stay together and learn each other’s culture, learn to value each other with respect and dignity and are able to open up their mind to new vistas and experience. By living together in a multi-cultural atmosphere the students are motivated to co-operate and care for each other in Harmony and peace,” he added.
As part of INDEM various programmes including sports, literary events, cultural events, field trips, workshop on Ganjeefar Art and Mysuru painting are organised.
On December 10, NCERT Director Prof Hrushikesh Senapaty will inaugurate the INDEM. Film actor Prakash Raj will deliver the valedictory address at the valedictory of INDEM on December 13 at RIE Premises.
Head Mistress of Demonstration school Dr Kalpana Venugopal, Co-ordinator Dr Somashekar, Former Rangayna Director Janardhan and others were present.
