RIEM Alumni felicitates teachers

RIEM BSc Ed group of Alumni of 1985-89 batch met after a gap of 27 years on Saturday at the Audio Visual Hall of Regional Institute of Education (RIE) in city, in the august presence of their teachers and exchanged pleasantries.

It was a happy reunion of the BSc Ed students and teachers who taught them 27 years ago in the then Regional College of Education (RCE), now RIEM and recalling the nostalgic experiences during the four years from 1985 to 1989. Most of the BSc Ed students of this group have achieved laurels in various fields serving in India and abroad.

The teachers who taught them during 1985-89 were present at the event. The alumni felicitated all the teachers who had taught them with a beautiful memento, T-shirt and a cap.

Prof D G Rao, Principal RIEM, inaugurated the Alumni meet by lighting the traditional lamp. A video presentation of the activities of Alumni 1985-89 batch was shown. A cultural programme was also presented by the Alumni on the occasion.

Dr Rajagopal, President of RIEM Alumni Association explained the activities of the Alumni association.

Dr M U Paily, Professor of Education and Head, Computer Application Lab, RIE Mysuru, played a key role in organising the event.
