Road shows to promote Kerala tourism

Mysuru, August 11:- The state of Kerala is better known as God’s own country. With an eye to boost Kerala tourism, summer camp will be held from April to September. Roadshows will be organised in Mysuru to make people know more about the art forms and culture of Kerala,” said Kerala tourism officer Shine at a press meet held at a private hotel on Thursday.

“Kerala has seen an increase in the tourists visit by 5.6% in the year 2016. The income has increased by 11 to 12%. To improve the tourism further, we are launching digital marketing and the use  social media to reach out to more people. Road shows are being organised in Coimbatore, Mysuru, Gurgaon, Amritsar, Lucknow, Kanpur, Bhopal, Vadodara, Rajkot, Ahmedabad and Nagpur,” he added.

Art forms of Kerala Kathakali, Mohiniyattam, theyyam, kalari and others were exhibited. (MR/BM).
