Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has been fined 50% of his match fee for breaching the Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct during his side’s three-run defeat against the Rising Pune Supergiant at the Wankhede Stadium Monday evening.
The 29-year-old has admitted to the Level 1 offence (Article 2.1.5), which relates to showing dissent at an umpire’s decision during an international match.
This is Rohit’s second Level 1 offence in the ongoing season. For Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding. -(KK, MR) – AGENCIES
