Mysuru, June 2:- Dalita Sangharsha Samiti staged a protest in front of the office of the DDPI on Saturday and demanded stringent action against private schools that are not giving admission to students under Right to Education (RTE) Act.
DSS alleged that several private schools were not giving seats to children from poor background under RTE. Parents of the children who are selected under the RTE are moving from pillar to post to get their wards admitted. The protesters demanded a criminal case be filed against such schools.
District treasurer K V Devendra, Yadatore Mahadevaiah, Choranahalli Shivanna, Katuru Devaraju, Madahalli Mahadev, Hilattur Shivaraj and others were present. (MR/GK).
