Run for Unity held by BJP

Mysuru, November 2:- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit of Krishnaraja Constituency here organised a ‘Run for Unity’ to mark the 143rd birth anniversary of India’s first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel from Chamundipuram Circle to Madhava Rao Circle, Agrahara on Wednesday.

State organising secretary of BJP Arun explained the relevance of Sardar Patel and the way he gave up the opportunity to become the prime minister of India.

He alleged that Congress treated some of its important leaders like lifeless statues. “Installation of the statue of Sardar Patel’s statue is a tribute to his contribution.”

MLA S A Ramadas expressed his happiness over setting up of the tallest statue in the world in India as a tribute to Sardar Patel and said everyone from the party from Mysuru would go to see the ‘Statue of Unity’ by train.

BJP state secretary Rajendra, corporator B V Manjunath, Suresh Babu, BJP city secretary My Pu Rajesh, Prabhakar Shindhe and others were present. (MR/KS)
