MLA Sa Ra Mahesh asks people to support regional parties

Prime News, Karnataka, Elections, Politics, Mysuru, November 30:- K R Nagar MLA Sa Ra. Mahesh has appealed to the people to vote for the regional party Janata Dal (Secular) to power in the 2023 Assembly elections.

A pre-emptive meeting of activists was held by the party at the HD Deve Gowda Samudaya Bhavana at Krishna Raja Nagar.

Mahesh, who spoke at the meeting, endorsed Mysuru–Chamarajanagar Legislative Council C N Manjegowda candidature.
Mahesh said, “A regional party is essential for the state’s development and for the farmers to prosper. JD(S) is a regional party of our state. We must vote for a regional party.”
The MLA said, “Former Chief Minister and senior JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy during his tenure cleared more than Rs 100 crore of farmers’ debts in K R Nagar taluk. More than 349 out of 549 members from 34 panchayats in the K R Nagar and Saligrama taluk, and 25 panchayat presidents are from JD(S). Taking members into confidence, we must support our candidate Manjegowda by electing him. We must support him for his honest engagement in serving politics, as a member of Grama Panchayat, president of APMC and joining our party and accepting our principles,” he added.
Mahesh indirectly taunted the sitting JD(S) MLC Sandesh Nagaraj for deciding to quit the party and join BJP. (AM/SH)
