Mysuru, February 4:- Tourism Minister Sa Ra Mahesh has advised media to speak after knowing the legal limits.
He was speaking to media persons at Suttur Fair regarding construction of houses in flood affected Kodagu District on Saturday.
“I had gone to Madikeri with the chairperson of Infosys Foundation, Sudha Murty regarding the construction of Ashraya houses. The ground-breaking ceremony was held for 200 houses. Making allegations is easy. But getting the land, getting permission from the city planning board and releasing funds is a tough task. We have finalised to construct two bedroom houses instead of the proposed one bedroom houses. Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy is getting the houses constructed at a cost of Rs 9.80 lakh, which is a record in the country,” he said.
When asked about repeated allegations against him, he said that it might be because he had urged for a monitoring board for media in Vidhana Soudha. He said that he is okay with media making news against him as it keeps him on his toes.
Responding to the transfer of Police Inspector C V Ravi, he said transfers are a common process in the police department and Ravi has been transferred to Bengaluru on his request. (MR/KS)
