Mysuru, January 8:- “When I was the district in-charge minister, my words were not being followed. Will it happen now? Whoever MLA Sa Ra Mahesh chooses will become the new Mayor of the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC),” said MLA and former minister GT Devegowda on Tuesday.
“Politics is not only about making noise. I have done politics with silent politicians too. I am doing silent politics now,” he said.
“Mahesh is looking after everything. H D Kumaraswamy has left everything to him. He will take a final call. My job is to vote for the Janata Dal (Secular) Mayoral candidate,” he said.
Responding to the statement by Kumaraswamy that 15 Bharatiya Janata Party MLAs will be quitting the party, Devegowda said why would BJP MLAs quit when the party is in power and has a strong government. He said whoever quits BJP will quit only after 3 years. (MR/KS)
