Sad to know plight of aged people: Geetha Mahadevaprasad

Mysuru, October 11:- Debate competition was organised for the students of JSS PU and Degree College, Saraswatipuram on Wednesday. This was held in association with the college hostel department and Sharana Sahitya Parishat.

Minister Geetha Mahadevaprasad inaugurated the competition.

“Hostel students live in a joint family like environment. They cultivate a mindset to handle every relationship carefully. Organising a debate on joint families is a welcome move. Unfortunately, educated people are sending the elders in the family to old age homes,” she said.

She recalled the memories of winning debate competitions as a student.

KSOU assistant professor Dr Jyothi Shankar, former MLC Thontadarya, and others were present. (MR/BM).
