Sait and Abdullah engage in verbal spat, GTD brokers peace

Mysuru, July 2:- Narasimaharaja (NR) Constituency MLA Tanveer Sait and Janata Dal (Secular) leader and Karnataka Exhibition Authority (KEA) chairman Abdullah (Abdul Azeez) were engaged in a verbal spat on Tuesday.

The verbal spat erupted when Sait was explaining about the ongoing development works in the constituencies to district in-charge minister GT Devegowda who was on a visit to the constituencies in Mysuru to inspect various development works.

While Sait was interacting with Devegowda for some time, Abdullah asked the district minister to leave the place as there were a few other places to visit. Abdullah’s intervention to cut short the talks between Devegowda and Sait irked the latter. He  raised his voice saying “don’t you see that I am still in conversation with the minister.”

Feeling intimidated, Abdullah too raised his voice while trying to drive home a point. Sensing trouble, Devegowda intervened and brought the situation under control.

Later Sait, Devegowda, Abdullah, Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar, Deputy Mayor Shafi Ahmed, former mayor Ayub Khan, MUDA Commissioner Kanthraj left in a bus to inspect the development works on Rajkumar Road in  Kalyangiri. (HN, NAV)
