Samvidhana Rakshana Samithi to observe Mysuru bandh

Prime News, National, Constitution, Democracy, Mysuru, February 3:- The Samvidhana Rakshana Samithi has called for Mysuru bandh demanding the Raichur District Principal and Sessions Judge Mallikarjuna Gowda be dismissed from his position.

The Samithi members held a meeting at the Mysuru Jaladarshini Guest House on Mysuru-Hunsur Road here recently and they decided to call for Mysuru bandh on Monday (February 7).
They also expressed disappointment as no action had been taken against the judge and the government is also keeping quiet. The Samithi head said that they will stage a mass protest along with other organisations supporting the demand.
The controversy started when Mallikarjuna Gowda disrespected the architect of the Indian Constitution Dr B R Ambedkar by removing his portrait from the dais before hoisting of the national flag during the Republic Day celebrations at the district court premises in Raichur. (AM/SH/KS)
